The Valley Falls Dragons won the last time they faced the Horton Chargers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Valley Falls was the clear victor by a 52-30 margin over Horton.
Valley Falls can attribute much of their success to Korie Kirkwood, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Kirkwood has scored at least 25% of Valley Falls' points. Another player making a difference was Lauren Brown, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
The victory got Valley Falls back to even at 1-1. As for Horton, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Valley Falls will head out on the road to face off against McLouth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Horton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson County North on Friday.
