Shawnee won the last time they faced Eastside and things went their way on Friday too. The Renegades put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 38-14 win. The Renegades might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 22 points or more this season.

Shawnee's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cole Anderson, who rushed for 113 yards and a pair of TDs. What's more, Anderson racked up 54 passing yards, the most he's had since back in August. Tyler Nickles was in the mix too, providing Shawnee with one touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Shawnee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 343 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards in five consecutive games.
Shawnee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Nickles, Mike Bartasius, Jack Creaney, and Brett Lundberg picked up one apiece. Shawnee received some extra help from Nickles, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Eastside's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Naeem Dale, who threw for 235 yards and two TDs, and Dymear Hill, who picked up 107 receiving yards and one score. Hill is becoming a predictor of the Tigers' success: when he posts at least 80 receiving yards the team is 2-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't).
Shawnee is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.3 points over those games. As for Eastside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Looking ahead, Shawnee will welcome Hammonton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eastside, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Camden at 11:00 a.m. on November 27. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 12.6 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
