Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Ashbrook couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Huss Huskies by a score of 51-48 on Friday. The Greenwave's loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Huss found their leader in freshman Jaleel Smith, who went 10-for-18 en route to 25 points and five rebounds. Smith has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zamarius 'Z-Man' Gladden, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 13 boards.

Ashbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 26-4. As for Huss, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Ashbrook nor Huss have any future games scheduled.
