Baseball Recap: Campbell Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

Campbell won the last time they faced Raymond and things went their way on Tuesday too. Campbell walked away with a 6-1 victory over Raymond.

Braydon White was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

In other batting news, Jack Curtis was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

Campbell has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Raymond, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Campbell will have a chance to go back-to-back against Raymond: the pair will be back at it again later today.
