Given Laguna Beach's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 197th, while Heritage is ranked 898th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dylan Mceachern continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 31 points. The contest was his 17th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Halvorson, who scored 18 points.
Heritage's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaron Contreras , who scored 19 points. Adrian Viray was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Laguna Beach and bumps their season record up to 10-7. As for Heritage, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
