The biggest upset of the week belonged to Greene Academy, who took down 470th ranked Dawson Street Christian, 53-22.
Curtis Baptist added to the longest winning streak in GISA 1A this week by beating David Emanuel Academy, 59-8. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Crusaders.
Curtis Baptist's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Christian Reid threw for 77 and 2 touchdowns and Smokey Poole had 46 yards receiving. On the ground Deveall Mcclendon chipped in 123 yards. Ian Mcdaniel helped Curtis Baptist's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 32 yards.
Mcclendon was a passing and rushing force as Nathan Duffie's team bested the Eagles. Mcclendon's favorite target this week was Poole, who caught 2 passes for 46 yards.
Poole was the best wideout in the league this week as the Crusaders defeated David Emanuel Academy. Mcdaniel helped Curtis Baptist's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 32 yards.
Curtis Baptist's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Crusaders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Reid has thrown for 690 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Alphonzo Meyer has 11 catches for 244 yards.
