The result was an unpleasant reminder to Clarkston of the 59-34 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Clarkston still got an impressive performance from Jonathan McBride, who scored 28 points along with three steals. McBride hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Lawerence Reeves was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Clarkston's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Stone Mountain, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13.
Clarkston will square off against Holy Innocents Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Holy Innocents Episcopal has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 568 points over their last eight matches. As for Stone Mountain, they will be playing at home against Stephenson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Stephenson is ranked 379th, while Stone Mountain is ranked 366th).
