Cloudcroft scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 52-48 to the Amherst Bulldogs. The loss leaves the Bears still looking for their first win of the season.

Cloudcroft's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Dodson, who posted 18 points along with six boards and four steals. Dodson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Silas Moon was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 12 points and eight rebounds.

Cloudcroft's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Amherst, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Cloudcroft wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-27 victory against Non Varsity Opponent on the 6th. As for Amherst, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-41 defeat against Elida on the 6th.
