The Hendrick Hudson Sailors were the 50-45 winner over the Pearl River Pirates when they last played one another back in March of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Hendrick Hudson was the victim of a tough 75-54 loss at the hands of Pearl River on Friday.
Despite the loss, Hendrick Hudson still got an impressive performance from Kaitlyn Raguso, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Raguso's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Alexa Robinson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Hendrick Hudson's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Pearl River, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
After both having extra time off, Hendrick Hudson and Lakeland will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 4:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Pearl River will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Nanuet at 12:00 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
