Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Cleveland Rams walked away with it. They blew past Gray's Creek 57-13 at home. The win was just business as usual for Cleveland, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
It was another big night for Jackson Byrd, who threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt. Byrd has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Jordan Gulley was another key contributor, picking up 58 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Davis, who threw for 188 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Ezekiel Reed, who picked up 112 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Cleveland's win was their sixth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.5 points per game. As for Gray's Creek, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Cleveland will be playing at home against Leesville Road at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Leesville Road is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Gray's Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
