The Flat Rock Rams made easy work of the Novi Wildcats on Wednesday and carried off a 12-3 victory. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.
Vanessa Neace and Emma Neace made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Neace pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Emma tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Neace went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run, while Emma got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits Vanessa has posted since May 5th.
In other batting news, Quinn Robertson was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Sarah Giroux, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Flat Rock hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive games.
