A well-balanced attack led North Eugene over South Eugene in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Highlanders blew the Axe out of the water with a 58-18 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Highlanders had established a 26-point advantage.

When it comes to explaining why South Eugene lost, don't look at Henry Fausett. Despite the final result, he rushed for 68 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

North Eugene now has a winning record of 2-1. As for South Eugene, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
