After having lost a blowout to George Washington in their previous game, Liberty Christian was happy to find some success on Friday. Liberty Christian were fully in charge, breezing past Central Virginia Disciples 52-6. The success represented a nice turnaround for Liberty Christian, who in their last game suffered a tough 14-48 loss.
Liberty Christian's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 39 points in the first half. Central Virginia Disciples came up with 6 to make it 39-6 heading into the break. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Liberty Christian in the second half and held Central Virginia Disciples to 0 points. The win bumped Liberty Christian's record up to 0-1. The defeat dropped Central Virginia Disciples's record to 0-2.
Liberty Christian hope to keep the momentum going despite some extra time before their next contest against Brunswick at 7:00 PM in two weeks. As for Central Virginia Disciples, they will face off against Life Christian Academy.
