The Walnut Hills Eagles gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took down Middletown 59-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Walnut Hills also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2019.
Walnut Hills was led to victory by Savanna Hayes-Bogle and Cylee Leggett. Hayes-Bogle scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals, while Leggett scored 20 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Walnut Hills' win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Middletown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walnut Hills won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mt. Healthy at 7:30 p.m. on November 25th. As for Middletown, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Hamilton at 1:45 p.m.
