The Roxbury Prep Charter Wolves had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed by Innovation Academy on the road to the tune of 85-53.
When it comes to explaining why Innovation Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Derrick Twum. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Ogbeide, who scored 5 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Roxbury Prep Charter's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Innovation Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Roxbury Prep Charter will head out on the road to face off against O'Bryant at 5:30 p.m. on December 15th. Innovation Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Academy of Notre Dame at 4:00 p.m. on December 8th.
