Jared Brandewie and Alonzo Saxton provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Fairland. The longest such play in Central Catholic - Gold this season, the connection resulted in 86 yards.
Bishop Ready extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Dawson-Bryant, 72-20. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Bishop Hartley's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brandewie threw for 200 and one touchdown and Saxton had 121 yards receiving. On the ground Ja'wuan Woodley chipped in 115 yards. Dominique Scott helped Bishop Hartley's passing attack out by catching one ball for 37 yards.
Bishop Hartley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hawks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Brandewie has thrown for 514 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Scott has six catches for 178 yards. Woodley leads the league in rushing with 656 yards.
The Hawks suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after a 56-6 loss to the Hawks. Bishop Hartley had been ranked 10th, but fell to 26 following the defeat.
