Volleyball Game Preview: Mission Hills Grizzlies vs. Mt. Carmel Sundevils

The Mission Hills Grizzlies will challenge the Mt. Carmel Sundevils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mission Hills will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Mission Hills barely beat Rancho Bernardo the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Mission Hills was the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Rancho Bernardo on Wednesday.

Mission Hills never let Rancho Bernardo on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-22, 25-20.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mission Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake Larsen, who had 16 digs and one assist. Larsen is crushing it when it comes to digs: he's had at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Mt. Carmel didn't have quite enough to beat Granite Hills on Friday and fell 2-1. The Sundevils have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Mt. Carmel now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Mission Hills, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0.
