Emory Berry was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with 7 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Killian Hill Christian's points. Hawthorne Herring was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 13 rebounds.
Peachtree Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Noah Rodriguez, who scored 19 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The game was Rodriguez's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tom Mitchell, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Peachtree Academy were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Killian Hill Christian only posted five.
Killian Hill Christian pushed their record up to 3-6 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Peachtree Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Killian Hill Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Scholars Guild Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Peachtree Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Academe of the Oaks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Academe of the Oaks has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
