Yorktown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 13-9 to the Pettus Eagles. On the bright side, the nine- run effort marked the Wildcats' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Gunner Mungia and Colton Rogers did some serious damage despite the final result: Mungia went 3-for-6 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Rogers scored two runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-6. Those RBI marked the first that Mungia brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Xavier Naranjo, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Yorktown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Pettus, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.
