Appling Christian Academy extended the longest winning streak in GCAA (8 Man) this week by beating Kings Way Christian School, 34-26. The victory was the seventh in a row for Appling Christian Academy.
Keith Wiggins' team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 34 points on the Crusaders.
Shiloh Hills Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Challengers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. John Kelly has thrown for 258 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Adam Smothers has eight catches for 148 yards. Keaton Beer leads the league in rushing with 592 yards.
The marquee game in GCAA (8 Man) this week will be the clash between Appling Christian Academy and Peoples Baptist Academy. Appling Christian Academy enters the game ranked second in the state, while the Knights ranks ninth.
Peoples Baptist Academy fell 14-8 to Shiloh Hills Christian in the closest game of the week.
