Mulvane waltzed into their match  on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  a   3-2 W against the Collegiate Spartans. Mulvane got a great performance from  Grey Sanders as he  didn't allow a single  hit and  allowed only  one  earned run while striking out 15 over six innings pitched. Sanders has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts any time he's  pitched this season.
 At the plate, Mulvane saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Hays Ensley, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run and one  RBI.
Mulvane's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 15-4-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Collegiate,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 11-9.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mulvane will host Winfield  on Thursday. The Wildcats are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on  an  18-game losing streak. As for Collegiate, they will face off against McPherson at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Bullpups' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1  runs per game  this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
