The Aurora Central Trojans will face off against the Overland Trailblazers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aurora Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
While Aurora Central's win against Kennedy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans skirted past the Commanders 10-8. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Commanders recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Toby Sanchez made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Aurora Central's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 4-7 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kalai Bentosino, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Aurora Central is undefeated when Bentosino posts two or more runs, but 1-8 otherwise. Kirby Colbert-Olsen was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Aurora Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Overland fell victim to Denver South and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Ravens, falling 24-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Trailblazers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Aurora Central's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Overland, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Aurora Central has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Overland struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Aurora Central suffered a grim 14-4 defeat to Overland in their previous meeting on April 8th. Will the Trojans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
