Basketball Recap: Brown County Sets Scoring Season-High Against Cloverdale

Brown County scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Cloverdale Clovers by a score of 58-56. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Clovers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Cloverdale found their leader in freshman Ishmael Kiteka, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards. Kiteka's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahaven Duncan, who posted 23 points and eight rebounds.

Brown County's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for Cloverdale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Brown County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 77-69 defeat against West Vigo on the 21st. As for Cloverdale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 83-57 win against Riverton Parke on the 21st.
