North College Hill extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-3 in the process. They lost 19-5 to the Cincinnati Country Day Nighthawks. The Trojans were not able to make up for their loss to the Nighthawks from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
As for Cincinnati Country Day, the win got them back to even at 2-2. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
For Cincinnati Country Day's part, Riley Williams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off only one hit. Williams has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Cincinnati Country Day got a massive performance out of Kylee Hirschauer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
