The Todd County Central Rebels lost against the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats on January 5th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Todd County Central was outmatched by Franklin-Simpson on the road and fell 66-32. Todd County Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-17.
Todd County Central's loss came despite strong showings from Zack Robinson and Kenyrin Coleman. Robinson scored nine points along with nine rebounds, while Coleman scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Coleman grabbed two or more steals.
Todd County Central has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Franklin-Simpson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Todd County Central will take on East Robertson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Robertson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Todd County Central likes a good challenge. As for Franklin-Simpson, they will be playing at home against Logan County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Logan County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
