Pardeeville is 9-1 against Cambria-Friesland since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bulldogs will square off against the Hilltoppers at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pardeeville has seven straight wins, Cambria-Friesland has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
While Pardeeville's victory against Markesan wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Hornets 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since May 22, 2024.
Logan Young made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off ten hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eli Achterberg, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Preston Jenkins was another key player, going 1-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Fall River hit Cambria-Friesland with a four-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hilltoppers came up short against the Pirates, falling 10-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hilltoppers have suffered since May 10, 2024.
Pardeeville's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.8 runs over those games. As for Cambria-Friesland, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Pardeeville beat Cambria-Friesland 3-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
