The Hixson Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Soddy Daisy Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hixson is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
Hixson suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 79-40 defeat at the hands of Red Bank. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Hixson has suffered against Red Bank since January 17, 2020.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Soddy Daisy ultimately got the result they hoped for two weeks ago. They pulled ahead with a 55-54 photo finish over Chattanooga Central.
Hixson dropped their record down to 2-17 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Soddy Daisy, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
Things could have been worse for Hixson, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-31 loss to Soddy Daisy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Hixson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
