Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Pius X to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kate Sell, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Caroline McCoy, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Visitation Academy's defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-12. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.2 points per game. As for St. Pius X, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8.
Visitation Academy will head out on the road to take on Ladue Horton Watkins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ladue Horton Watkins presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Visitation Academy in Missouri (Ladue Horton Watkins is ranked 119th, while Visitation Academy is ranked 369th). As for St. Pius X, they will be playing at home against St. Teresa's Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
