The Woodlawn Cardinals stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They really took it to Webber for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-22 victory on the road. The victory was just what Woodlawn needed coming off of a 59-26 loss in their prior matchup.
Woodlawn was led to victory by Sophia Skinner and Jase Burkett. Skinner scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three blocks, while Burkett dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Skinner, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Despite the defeat, Webber saw an underclassman step up: Chloe King scored 11 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 50% of Webber's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kadi Bain, who scored six points.
Woodlawn's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Webber, they are on a 20-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.
Woodlawn will head out on the road to challenge Christopher at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Webber, they will be playing at home against Cobden at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
