The Holly Hill Academy Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Charleston Collegiate Sundevils at 6:00 p.m. Holly Hill Academy will be strutting in after a victory while the Sundevils will be coming in after a loss.
A well-balanced attack led Holly Hill Academy over the Raiders in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Holly Hill Academy came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 23-12. The victory was just what Holly Hill Academy needed coming off of a 56-21 loss in their prior match.
Holly Hill Academy found their leader in underclassman Essie Wolpert, who scored ten points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wolpert has scored at least a third of Holly Hill Academy's points.
Meanwhile, Charleston Collegiate ended up a good deal behind the Crusaders on Friday and lost 41-23. Charleston Collegiate has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Holly Hill Academy's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-13. As for Charleston Collegiate, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Holly Hill Academy couldn't quite finish off the Sundevils in their previous meeting back in January and fell 34-31. Can Holly Hill Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
