Tyler Rouse and Blaine Winder provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Hi-Plains. The connection was good for 70 yards, the longest such play in A-6 Southeast (6 Man) this season.
Liberty/Stratton extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Prairie, 84-38. The victory was the 11th in a row for the team.
Rouse was a passing and rushing force as Eads fell to the Patriots. He completed 13 passes for 216 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 72 yards.
Trevor Thompson threw for 168 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Winder was the best wideout in the league this week as the Eagles lost to Hi-Plains. Winder racked up 1 reception for 70 yards. Nate Dorow helped Eads' passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 63 yards.
On the heels of Thompson and Kyle English, Liberty/Stratton has had great success on offense. Thompson leads the league in passing with 890 yards, while English has rushed for 1,375 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Kit Carson's Jaxon Crawford, with 486 yards on 36 catches.
MC Griffin of the Toby Kechter's team is only 88 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Griffin has rushed for 912 yards on 67 carries so far this year.
The Eagles took down the Mustangs 84-38 last week, the largest margin of any game. Thompson ran for 32 yards during the win.
