The Fort Calhoun Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season. They breezed by Louisville on the road to the tune of 47-16. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-4.
Fort Calhoun was led to victory by Bria Bench and Raeann Massey. Bench scored 12 points along with five steals, while Massey scored 11 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. The game was Massey's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Ansley Elofson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Fort Calhoun is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Louisville, they bumped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Calhoun will take on Brownell Talbot at TBD on Monday. As for Louisville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Douglas County West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
