The Mid-Missouri HomeSchool Mavericks had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past Sunnydale Academy  34-31. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win Mid-Missouri HomeSchool has posted  against the  since January 28, 2019.
 Mid-Missouri HomeSchool found their leader in underclassman  Taylor Dorr, who  scored 12 points along with seven  rebounds and two  steals.  Rachel Robinson was another key contributor,  scoring four points along with ten  rebounds.
 Mid-Missouri HomeSchool pushed their record up to 14-9 with that  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. As for Sunnydale Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
 Mid-Missouri HomeSchool won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against the Knights at 6:00  p.m.  on February 2nd. As for Sunnydale Academy, they will look to defend their home court  on Sunday against the Mustangs at 3:00  p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked  in their respective states (Midland Adventist Academy is ranked 282nd in Kansas, while the  are ranked 257th in Missouri).
