Argos extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-8. They came up short against the South Bend Riley Wildcats, falling 19-8. The Dragons were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.
Argos saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addelyn Lewark, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Grace Thomas was another, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
As for South Bend Riley, the win got them back to even at 6-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 11 runs or more this season.
On South Bend Riley's side, QUINN TOPPS was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. TOPPS was even better at the plate, going 3-for-6 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, AMAIAH CLEMONS was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with five runs, two stolen bases, and three doubles. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. The team also got some help courtesy of CHLOE GINTER, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Argos will host North Miami at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. As for South Bend Riley, they will welcome Elkhart Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
