The Lake Minneola Hawks can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They breezed by Lakeland at home to the tune of 73-18. The win was familiar territory for Lake Minneola who now have four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Minneola to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mia Saunders, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Saunders hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Patricia Casimir, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Lakeland saw an underclassman step up: Zakharia Rutledge scored 14 points.
Lake Minneola's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Lakeland, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season.
Lake Minneola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lakeland also has no future games currently scheduled.
