Even though the Cienega Bobcats scored an imposing 79 points on Wednesday, the Cactus Shadows Falcons still came out on top. Cactus Shadows slipped by Cienega 80-79. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cactus Shadows also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Cienega's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jackson Moore, who scored 19 points along with 3 steals. The game was Moore's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Sdobnev, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 1 assists.
Cactus Shadows' victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cienega, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Cactus Shadows will be playing at home against Verrado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cienega, they will head out on the road to face off against Sunnyside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Sunnyside's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
