Atholton scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Mt. Hebron, 34-14. At the time, the Vikings were ranked 15th in the state, while the Raiders were 28th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Hammond, who took down 57th ranked Hammond, 14-13.
Spencer Ampofo put up the best numbers through the air as Wilde Lake bested Long Reach. He finished with a total of four completions for 76 yards and three touchdowns. Ampofo's favorite target this week was Malik Jackson, who caught four passes for 102 yards.
Robert Armstrong was the most productive running back in Howard County this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 128 yards as Reservoir bested Mt. Hebron. Teammate Avian White added to the ground attack by rushing for 64 yards.
Pinnock was the best wideout in the league this week as John Castner's team defeated Larry Luthe's team. Pinnock racked up four receptions for 117 yards. Patrick Mullens helped Atholton's passing attack out by catching four balls for 60 yards.
Luke Casey provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Raiders beat the Vikings. He completed 11 passes for 202 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 58 yards.
Atholton's Casey and Pinnock have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Casey has thrown for 1063 yards this season, while Pinnock has 26 catches for 524 yards. Armstrong from the 'Gators leads the league in rushing with 694 yards.
A big matchup in Howard County this week will be when Reservoir takes on River Hill. Bryan Cole's team is currently in fourth, while the Hawks are in first.
Casey and Pinnock provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Mt. Hebron. The connection was good for 61 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
