The Mountain House Mustangs had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They breezed by Pacheco on the road to the tune of 59-23. That 36 points margin sets a new team best for Mountain House this season.
Mountain House got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Assefa out in front who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Thomas Pinn was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Mountain House has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Pacheco, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain House will challenge Lathrop at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lathrop will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1002nd, while Mountain House is ranked 183rd). As for Pacheco, they will head out on the road to square off against Los Banos at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Los Banos is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
