The Bruceville-Eddy Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They strolled past Moody with points to spare, taking the game 47-31. The victory was just what Bruceville-Eddy needed coming off of a 75-22 loss in their prior game.
Bruceville-Eddy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kalli Speasmaker out in front who scored 13 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Speasmaker is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kambrie Diaz was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Bruceville-Eddy's victory bumped their record up to 15-18. As for Moody, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-17.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bruceville-Eddy will take on Chilton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chilton has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7. As for Moody, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Meyer at 6:00 p.m.
