The Northwestern Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Conneaut Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Northwestern had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a rough 58-25 loss at the hands of Lakeview.
Meanwhile, Conneaut took care of business in their home opener on Saturday. They walked away with a 66-54 victory over Horizon Science Academy.
Chance Loomis had an outrageously good game as he scored 27 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of J.R. Hutchison, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Conneaut, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Northwestern came up short against Conneaut in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 62-51. Thankfully for Northwestern, Larry Hamm (who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
