After flying high against the Egyptian Pharaohs two weeks ago, the Joppa-Maple Grove Rangers came back down to earth. Joppa-Maple Grove was beaten by Cobden 70-26 on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Joppa-Maple Grove has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Joppa-Maple Grove still got an impressive performance from Jacob Smith, who scored 19 points.
Joppa-Maple Grove has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Cobden, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Joppa-Maple Grove will take on Shawnee at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Shawnee is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Cobden, they will be playing at home against Century at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Century is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
