Aptos extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday, bumping them up to 11-4. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Scotts Valley Falcons. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Mya Najera-White made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off ten hits. Najera-White was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Kalina Healy was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Gwen Vaca also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Aptos was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
As for Scotts Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6-1 record this season. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
On Scotts Valley's side, Lorelei Warner was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Stella Van Every, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Coming up, Aptos will face off against San Lorenzo Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Scotts Valley, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Soquel at 4:30 p.m. on the 14th.
