Even though the New York Mills Marauders scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, the Cooperstown Hawkeyes still came out on top. Cooperstown walked away with a 73-60 win over the Marauders. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cooperstown.
Charlie Lambert continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. Lambert is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Bradley, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Cooperstown's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for New York Mills, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
Cooperstown will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morrisville-Eaton is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. New York Mills will take on the Emerald Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamilton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matches -- so hopefully the Marauders like a good challenge.
