The Athens Red Hawks will take on the Berkley Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Athens has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Athens' last matchup with Dow could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Saturday. The Red Hawks came up short against the Chargers, falling 13-3. The Red Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grayson Conrad made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Berkley). Everything went their way against Farmington on Tuesday as they made off with a 22-10 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Bears, who have now won three matches in a row.
The team relied heavily on Spencer Bajcz, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Alex Kraus was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Berkley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .609. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.
Athens' loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Berkley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
Athens skirted past Berkley 2-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Red Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
