Horizon hadn't done well against Monarch recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Hawks never let the Coyotes get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The result was nothing new for Horizon, who have now won six contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Monarch with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brooklyn Velotta (2), Cadence Henry, and Madison McLachlan.

Horizon pushed their record up to 8-1-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Monarch, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6-1 record this season.
