Baseball Recap: Palmyra-Eagle's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Palmyra-Eagle entered their tilt with Cudahy on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Packers with a sharp 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Devin Patrick made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brett Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was D Walsh, who earned two RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Palmyra-Eagle's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Cudahy, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmyra-Eagle will take on Johnson Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cudahy, they will challenge Shorewood at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
