The Blair Academy Bucs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Perkiomen School Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Blair Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Blair Academy is ranked highly in their home state, and on Sunday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Mercersburg Academy. Blair Academy simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mercersburg Academy 80-30 at home. Blair Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 38 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Perkiomen School, as they earned their first road win of the season. They snuck past Hill School with a 55-49 win on Wednesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Perkiomen School's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Hill School is ranked 17th).
Blair Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Perkiomen School, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Everything came up roses for Blair Academy against Perkiomen School in their previous meeting back in January of 2022 as the squad secured a 69-37 win. Will Blair Academy repeat their success, or does Perkiomen School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
