Carsten Crawford was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Miley Laubach, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.
Meanwhile, Seton Catholic Central hadn't done well against Chenango Forks recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Saints won by a run and slipped past the Blue Devils 9-8.
