Basketball Recap: Bentley Stubbs' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] over Bertrand

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 50-37 to the Bertrand Vikings. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-26 back in December of 2024.

Several Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bentley Stubbs, who went 5 of 12 en route to 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the most points Stubbs has posted since back in February of 2024. Olivia Wall was another key player, putting up eight points and 17 boards.

Bertrand's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Andersen, who posted 12 points in addition to eight assists and six rebounds. Andersen is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Livia Philips, who put up 12 points.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Bertrand, they moved to 7-11 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] is taking a road trip to take on Medicine Valley at 4:00 p.m. on February 4th. As for Bertrand, they will look to defend their home court on February 4th against Cambridge at 7:00 p.m.
