The Goose Creek Gators pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 64-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wando. Goose Creek has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Shane Potts and Ja'Quell Brown certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Potts scored 23 points along with five rebounds, while Brown scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Taveion Scott, who scored five points.
Goose Creek has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Wando, their win bumped their record up to 16-10.
Goose Creek will head out on the road to take on Stratford at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Goose Creek is facing Stratford at the right time seeing as Stratford is stuck on a 11-game losing streak. Wando does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
